Samoa: Just Six Degrees of Separation

The idea behind the six degrees of separation is simple: If a person is one step or relationship away from each individual he or she knows and two steps away from each person who is known by one of the individuals he or she knows, then everyone on Earth is six relationships or less away from each other, so I'm putting it to the test....

...Samoa is geographically far away from Florida, where I live and yet if this theory is right I'm seperated by only six relationships from someone tragically affected by the devastating tsunami there. I want to reach out to that person or family in the name of Jesus. I need someone who is reading this blog, who may know somone, who may know someone, etc. to contact me. Somewhere out there is a nameless, faceless sibling of humanity that needs to hear the Good News at this time. I want to put a name and a face to that brother or sister in Christ. Will you help me?

Now the Good News is that there is only one degree of separation from a relationship with God and that is his Son, Jesus.

"For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. " (Rm 8:38-39)

To know the Son is to know the Father and you don't need a social network to reach Him. Just call out to Him and He'll be there, I guarantee it. And so I connect with Christ and I connect with his people here on earth and give life to the words of His prayer which gives life to me:

"Your Kindom come and Your Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven."

I look forward to hearing from you about my family in Samoa. Peace.

“Hello! I want to let you know about an awesome group called “Kepha, the Brotherhood of the Iron Will.” Kepha is a growing brotherhood of Catholic fathers and sons in seven states that are faithful to the Holy Father. We promote the Culture of Life through monthly retreats and shared daily prayers and provoke each other to Heaven according to our motto, "Dynamic Orthodoxy, Infectious Joy."

Kepha is a high-octane Catholicism rejecting spiritual laziness and moral compromise. We are under the patronage of our "BIG 3": St. John Bosco, Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, and Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati. Kepha members agree to live by 5 commitments : Apologetics, Brotherhood, Charity, Mortification and Prayer.

Kepha is a non-profit organization with chapters in Texas and Louisiana. If you know of any men who are looking for an excellent way to strengthen their relationships with their sons, then please tell them about Kepha.
You can find out more information on our web site at www.kepharocks.org
We look forward to hearing from you.
God bless you!

Hi, welcome to my weekly blog. I'm deacon Michel and I love blogging and the healthy exchange of constructive ideas. Now my mind has been known to wander on a million different things all at once so don't be surprised at what you find here. I often scratch my head and go 'Huh?' at my own thoughts. Feel free to leave a comment and share your thoughts with me.

    Disclaimer

This blog reflects MY ongoing Christian journey: insights gained through the Holy Spirit, my experiences, my  studies, my relationships. The content of this website is solely that of Deacon Michel du Chaussee, and does not represent the Archdiocese of Miami or any other entity of the Roman Catholic Church in any official capacity. Needless to say, I hope that none of my writings are contrary to the doctrines of faith and morals that are reflected in Sacred Tradition or as taught and guarded by the Magisterium of the Church or to the truths of God as revealed in the Holy Scriptures.
For I take seriously what a very wise man has often said to me:
