Scripture Studies
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that one who belongs to God may be competent, equipped for every good work. 2 Tim. 3:16-17
As I've said in the class at St. Bartholomew's, I am not a Scripture scholar and I have no intention of making you one. But I hope that through these courses you will develop the love of the Scriptures as I have and want to read and learn more and that it will make your Mass experience of the Word more alive.
I will be posting the handouts from our courses as well as other things of pertinent interest here for you to read and download, as well as a calendar of upcoming courses so keep checking this website. Peace.
Deacon Michel.

Starting October 4th at 7:30 pm: Our next six week mini-course will look at The Gospel of Matthew in preparation for the new Liturgical year - Cycle A which begins with Advent. Matthew's Gospel focuses on the divine fatherhood of God, Jesus as the fulfilment of the messianic promises and sets the stage for Jesus' establishment of the Church as the kingdom of heaven on earth.
Each week will feature instruction in the theme for that week, practical tips on reading and studying the Bible, and personal sharing based on the Bible texts chosen for that lesson. If you have never had the opportunity to read and study the Bible – or if you are a long- time scholar of Bible studies, you are welcome to join us.
