Saturday after Ash Wednesday

The Pharisees and their scribes complained to his disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” Jesus said to them in reply, “Those who are healthy do not need a physician, but the sick do. I have not come to call the righteous to repentance but sinners.”
I feel terrible. I've picked up something starting Friday afternoon and today I'm under blankets and in warm clothing and so Jesus words take on a particular meaning “Those who are healthy do not need a physician, but the sick do..."

This is only a bad cold (although some ladies laugh at how men act in these times) but I know I'm sick in a more serious way, I suffer with SIN and it sickens the soul and it requires a doctor. Fortunately I know a good one, a specialist: Jesus.

"...but only say the word and my soul shall be healed"

Lent is the time to get your spiritual check-up.

Peace.

The Season of Lent is a special time for us to slow down, look inward and make the necessary changes to truly become an Easter people.

As I pray and meditate the daily Scriptures for Lent I am humbled by the mercy of our God and I hope that my sharing with you helps you to deepen your walk with Christ as we journey with him.

Peace
