You might consider it a blessing or curse of God's gift of free will but it always comes down to our choices doesn't it? Smoking or non-smoking is my choice not God's. He won't get in our way although he does everything to help us make the right choice;gives us His Son, pours out grace,  leads us through the Holy Spirit. If he always had his way we would all be with Him in Eternity. That's HIS desire and when our choice is the same as his desire or will it's a beautiful thing; it's called Heaven and conversely when our choice opposes his desire or will then that's Hell and its not a beautiful thing at all!

But I also asked myself what drives me? Is it a desire to gain heaven or to avoid hell? And I realized that is a selfishly motivated thought; whether to gain or to avoid it's all about me. The real question is which is stonger: it is my love of God or my love of the devil/world/flesh? So again I have a choice to make. And so do you, what will it be: Smoking or Non Smoking?
