Monastery of the Holy Spirit, Conyers, Georgia

My fellow candidates for diaconate ordination and I spent a week here for our canonical retreat in August 2008. The tranquility here was diametrically opposed to the hustle and bustle of downtown Miami, FL where I worked. Prayer with the monks, silent meals, deep and insightful workshops and lots of time for personal prayer and meditation were the order of the day. These pictures are my attempt to capture not just the sights but the spirit of the place. Perhaps it might make you want to visit or revisit there. Enjoy.
