It is indeed a priviledge to be able to give a homily, to 'preach' as some like to say. For me it is the opportunity to 'break open' the Word as if I'm opening a seed-pod and planting the seed into fertile hearts and minds so that it may bear fruit in abundance.

It is a task I take most seriously and I pray that God will never allow me to short-change you through lack of preparation or willingness.
